The Pyramid of the Moon project developed a topographical map of the ceremonial zone of Teotihuacan as a complimentary part of its investigation. This topographical map was made from data obtained by aerial photographs combined with field measurements. In the map we see a view of the Plaza of the Moon complex. |

Measurements taken with the aerial photographs allowed a virtual reconstruction of the buildings in three-dimension, as seen in this example of the Plaza of the Moon. The information in these maps was combined with architectural data that was obtained in the excavations that were carried out. |
